		Dan's Extreme Makeover was designed to create a more angular face and lean body for Dan.  His plastic surgery was aimed at making him appear more like the "leading man" that he envisioned himself to one day become!  Dan accomplished a 25 lb weight loss through diet and exercise that contributed to his overall improved appearance and health.              Dan had fat removed from his cheeks (via liposuction and buccal fat pad removal) and from his neck.  His neck area required liposuction and surgical removal of fat from beneath his platysma muscle.  Dan also had a chin implant inserted at the time of his surgery. Dan also underwent liposuction of his chest, abdomen and "grab handle" areas which combined with diet and exercise dramatically improved his girth.

		Dan underwent an "Extreme Makeovers" including plastic surgery, dental restoration, makeup and hair for the ABC TV show that appeared on the first of the Fall 2003 season of the ABC show Extreme Makeover.  Dr. Perlman was invited to perform the plastic surgical procedures for Dan on this show.
