| Rhinoplasty
(nosejob) is often performed to improve the shape and size of a patient's nose with the
goal of making the nose appear more balanced with the rest of one's facial features (such
as cheeks, mouth and chin). Not infrequently, cosmetic rhinoplasty is combined with
internal work to improve the nasal airway to improve airflow. |

Many patients come to our office
desiring a smaller nasal bridge or tip that better matches their other facial
features. We find that most of our patients want a natural looking result and not
one that creates a "surgical looking" nose. This often involves removal
of a bump from the bridge area as well as refining the nasal tip area. Rhinoplasty
is sometimes combined with a chin augmentation to more naturally balance the facial
profile. |
